I think we are born sinners through the generational curses brought on beginning with Adam and Eve, but continue in sin through choice. Though I suppose it would be entirely possible, just as someone can be a pathological liar or thief. I do believe that regardless of the situation God can help them overcome their tendencies if He is allowed to work in their lives
