Anonymous asked: How can you believe that being gay is a choice if you haven't experienced it firsthand? All homosexuals I've ever talked to have said that it is definitely NOT a choice. They are very strong christians who have even begged God to not let them turn out gay. I have never heard any homosexual say that they have made a choice to be gay. So doesn't God make them that way?
I would recommend reading these:

The thing is science itself calls for multiple factors beyond genetics to “make” a person homosexual. Like I said, I think it is an addiction level sin where simple “choice” alone will not overcome it, but with work. I believe if God made them that way, there wouldn’t be homosexuals who overcome it and have happy fulfilling heterosexual relations. In order for God to make them that way, He would have to deny Himself. It is absolutely out of His character, apart from Him, that He would make someone with sin that was uncontrollable.
